TrustWeb, all demos

Ask the people you know, without showing them what you're looking for, and without them having to show what they have.

A lot of what you really need isn't anywhere online. It's sitting in a chat group, with someone in it you know. TrustWeb makes exactly that question askable, without anyone having to hand over their messages.

What's here are prototypes for demonstrating, not hardened software. Concretely: no login and no access control in front of the interfaces, an anonymity threshold of 1 instead of 7 in demo 1 and 2 so the demo actually finds something, and v0 is explicitly not zero-knowledge.

Details on what's verified and what's still open are in the evidence section further down.

What do you want to show?

Every tile says what it can actually do.

TrustWeb · the one app to showlive

Notes after meeting someone, placed in the three rings, with who can ask about each line. Ask your web in plain English: a matching phone shows a consent prompt, anything else stays silent, and a decline looks exactly like no match. Runs over the same relay as demo 2, with its anonymity floor at the shared default, never 1. Presenting alone? Open "two phones side by side".

The core: Nora asks, Marlene's device answers, and you can't tell from the answer whether nothing was there or nothing was shared.

Demo 1 · Eye to eyelive

Question and answer travel only as a QR code. No account, no install, no network path. Two phones, or a laptop shows the code and the phone scans it.

Demo 2 · Over the networklive

Pair first like in demo 1, then question and answer travel over a server. No more scanning: Nora asks, and the answer appears by itself on her phone. The server carries only ciphertext, because the key is created during the QR exchange in the room, which it never saw. What it does very much see: who talks to whom, and when.

Demo 3 · Direct, device to deviceunverified on-device

Like demo 2, but with no server at all: the two devices negotiate a direct connection over two QR codes and then talk straight to each other. Built for a shared Wi-Fi network.

⚠️ The ceremony and the code sizes are verified; the actual connection succeeding between two real devices is not yet. Test it yourself once before demoing.

Demo 6 · The ladder, made visibleunverified on-device

The same query, but the app shows which rung it's currently on, and only climbs a rung when the one below doesn't work: first direct device to device, and if the network doesn't allow that, visibly over the server from demo 2.

The three rungs: QR only, then direct, then over a server.

The evidence

What actually ranlive

22 out of 22 checks against the real address, plus the screens. Also shows what's honestly still open.

Earlier drafts

Built, reachable, but older than the demo above.

App mockup, full interfacelive

The complete app as a clickable mockup: circles, offers, borrowing, chats.

Gating prototypelive

Who's allowed to see what: the access-rights model as its own prototype.

Rebiosys · an earlier use caselive

The resource-sharing site, with a real relay and consent ladder behind it.

Mobile UI, LAN alphano agents

The client from the six-person alpha, freshly built from the current source. It really needs agents running on the same network; without them it stays a click-through interface. Shown here in the neutral housing variant.

Before you go

Put both phones on mobile data, not Wi-Fi. On September 1st at 01:02, the home router for idea2.site returned SERVFAIL while every other domain resolved. Mobile data goes around that.

Brightness to maximum, auto off. The whole demo is a camera reading a screen. That's the most common reason it fails.

It also works without a camera. Every code screen has "Copy code," every scan screen a paste field. Less magical, always works.
